Overview
AgentExchange is evolving into the ecosystem intelligence layer for Salesforce, enabling customers and AI agents to discover, evaluate, activate, and compose trusted ecosystem capabilities as part of outcome-driven implementations.
As Director of Product Management for Platform Foundation & Ecosystem Intelligence, you will define the platform strategy that enables AgentExchange capabilities to be consumed across Salesforce products, Headless 360, Agentforce, conversational interfaces, and third-party coding agents. You will also lead the evolution of ecosystem intelligence that powers recommendations, implementation strategies, personalization, and customer outcomes.
You will lead a team of Product Managers responsible for foundational platform services, AI-native ecosystem capabilities, and the APIs, MCP services, and intelligence models that enable AgentExchange to operate as a platform.
Responsibilities
Platform Strategy
- Define and execute the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AgentExchange Agentic Foundation product domain.
- Own the platform capabilities that expose AgentExchange through Headless 360, MCP, APIs, and shared platform services.
- Drive the evolution of AgentExchange from a marketplace into a platform that enables ecosystem intelligence across Salesforce.
Ecosystem Intelligence
- Define the strategy for ecosystem intelligence that powers customer outcome reasoning and implementation recommendations.
- Own the evolution of search, recommendations, compatibility, trust, personalization, and implementation intelligence.
- Partner with Data & Ecosystem Insights to build the knowledge graph, ecosystem metadata, and intelligence models that improve recommendation quality over time.
- Define the context and response contracts that enable Salesforce products and coding agents to leverage ecosystem intelligence.
Platform Architecture
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering to define scalable platform services, APIs, MCP capabilities, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
- Collaborate closely with Project Codey and Headless 360 teams to ensure AgentExchange capabilities integrate seamlessly into Salesforce's AI platform.
- Define reusable platform capabilities that can be consumed consistently across Salesforce products and external developer experiences.
Product Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, experimentation, and rapid iteration.
- Drive strategic planning, investment prioritization, and roadmap execution across multiple platform initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Marketplace Experiences to translate ecosystem intelligence into intuitive customer experiences.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Data Science, UX Research, and Engineering to validate platform capabilities through customer research, experimentation, and adoption metrics.
- Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, Developer Relations, and Partner organizations.
- Communicate platform strategy, technical direction, and business impact to executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of product management experience building enterprise SaaS platforms, developer platforms, AI platforms, or infrastructure products.
- Demonstrated experience defining platform APIs, developer ecosystems, or extensibility frameworks.
- Strong technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, AI agents, and platform architecture.
- Experience building AI-native products, recommendation systems, personalization platforms, search platforms, or knowledge graphs.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing Product Management teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence architecture and technical strategy across multiple engineering organizations.
- Proficiency using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) as a core part of the product management workflow, including customer research, rapid prototyping, drafting product briefs and PRDs, synthesizing feedback, and accelerating product delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting platform strategy to executive leadership.
