Why ENFOS:

Every major industrial company carries Environmental Obligations: the legal and financial commitments to remediate, restore, and account for the footprint of their operations. These obligations represent billions of dollars of liabilities, span decades, and have historically been managed across spreadsheets, inboxes, and institutional knowledge.

ENFOS is the enterprise system of record that replaces all of that. The world’s leading energy, chemical, mining, manufacturing, and industrial companies run their Environmental Obligation programs on our platform.

Our advantage isn’t a generic AI model. It’s decades of domain expertise, structured enterprise data, and mission-critical workflows that competitors cannot easily replicate. We are profitable, growing quickly, and transforming our platform from a record system into an AI-enabled system of intelligence. If you’re excited about building durable enterprise software, solving complex technical problems, and shaping the future of EOM, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role:

As a Senior UI Engineer at ENFOS you will modernize our application and shape the future of our product experience, championing a user-first mindset while delivering high-quality, scalable front-end solutions for a platform trusted by many of the world’s largest industrial companies.

You will architect and modernize the front-end foundation of the platform, translating complex financial and regulatory requirements into intuitive, user-centered workflows that customers rely on every day.

This role carries significant ownership across front-end architecture, design system governance, performance, and long-term product experience. You will raise both design and engineering standards while mentoring engineers and elevating UI craftsmanship across the platform.

How We Work:

We believe exceptional software is built by engineers who own outcomes, not just tickets.

  • Agile Development: We operate in two-week sprints with clear ownership, rapid iteration, and continuous customer feedback.
  • Engineering Excellence: Clean architecture, automated testing, code reviews, and maintainable software are foundational to how we build.
  • Modern Platform: Our front-end is built on React, supported by a modern engineering toolchain including GitLab, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Continuous Growth: We invest in mentorship, system-level thinking, and technical leadership, creating opportunities to influence the platform and grow your career.

Expectations:

Success in this role means translating complex, data-heavy requirements into intuitive, efficient workflows while raising both design and engineering standards across the platform.

You are expected to own front-end initiatives end-to-end, breaking work into well-defined tasks, providing reliable estimates, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, communicating clearly across teams, and delivering high-quality releases on schedule against sprint and roadmap commitments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect and modernize the front-end foundation of our financial governance platform.
  • Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into intuitive, user-centered workflows.
  • Define scalable front-end architecture patterns for performance, state management, and API integration.
  • Establish and govern a formal design system and reusable component library.
  • Optimize large data grids, reporting views, and multi-entity workflows for clarity and speed.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and system-level architecture decisions.
  • Build scalable pages and modular React components aligned with long-term maintainability.
  • Continuously elevate usability, interaction quality, and visual consistency across the platform.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain design standards, documentation, and system-level consistency across the application.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on product positioning, launches, and customer-facing materials.
  • Mentor front-end and full-stack engineers on UI craftsmanship, usability best practices, and design quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on front-end development experience using React or a comparable modern framework
  • Proven experience architecting scalable front-end systems and design systems in production enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience designing and shipping complex, data-dense B2B SaaS applications
  • Demonstrated ability to design workflow-heavy interfaces with strong usability, performance, and audit considerations
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to translate financial and regulatory requirements into intuitive user experiences
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to defend architectural and UX decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing financial, regulated, or audit-driven enterprise software
  • Experience modernizing legacy front-end architectures within multi-module platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma or comparable tools including design system governance
  • Experience integrating analytics, experimentation, or AI capabilities into enterprise workflows
  • Salary range in the US: $160,000 - $200,000 with opportunity for discretionary bonus paid annually
  • Stock options granted at time of hire and periodically based on performance
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
