Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Are you ready to shape the future of defense trade compliance at cloud scale? Salesforce is looking for an experienced ITAR Empowered Official to take full ownership of our U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance program.
As our primary export control expert for defense trade, you won't just keep us compliant—you will partner directly with business and product teams to build proactive compliance strategies that keep pace with our rapidly evolving software and service offerings. If you thrive at the intersection of complex trade regulations, cutting-edge technology, and strategic business enablement, this is your launchpad.
What You’ll Do
- Lead as Empowered Official: Act as Salesforce’s designated ITAR Empowered Official, driving program strategy, maintaining DDTC registrations, and approving critical export authorizations, licenses, and Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs).
- Build & Scale Program Infrastructure: Architect, implement, and maintain an end-to-end ITAR compliance framework, including written policies, internal controls, compliance audits, and company-wide training.
- Guide Business Innovation: Serve as the hands-on expert during solution design and enterprise deal evaluations, running Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) classifications and jurisdictional determinations to keep Salesforce ahead of risk.
- Manage Authorizations & Due Diligence: Oversee end-to-end authorization lifecycles—including tracking and decrementing against active authorizations, conducting thorough party due diligence, and managing required DDTC fee/commission reporting.
- Interface with Government Agencies: Serve as the trusted point of contact for government regulatory bodies (especially DDTC) for registrations, license submissions, disclosures, and audits.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven ITAR Leadership: Deep hands-on experience designing, scaling, and managing an enterprise-level ITAR compliance program, including active experience as an Empowered Official.
- Technical Trade Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) submissions, risk management frameworks, export licensing lifecycles, and sanctions compliance (sanctions experience is a strong plus).
- Regulatory Systems Knowledge: Direct working experience with DDTC systems (DECCS) and enterprise compliance tools.
- Strategic Partner Mindset: Outstanding cross-functional communication skills with the ability to translate complex trade laws into practical business guidance for legal, product, and sales stakeholders.
- Execution & Integrity: Meticulous attention to detail, uncompromising ethical standards, and a proven track record of managing large-scale compliance initiatives independently in a fast-growing environment.
